Day 215 – This morning it was very cloudy, warm & humid. We’re supposed to get strong thunderstorms today and tonight; a front is coming through. The wind picked up. We decided to stay at the campground today.
We caught up with things around here, me with paperwork/e-mail & Rob shuffled some of the heavier items from the storage in the rear of the RV to the front of the RV, in the hope that our next weight check will show things to be more even. He spent most of the day working on a programming project. He’s designing a web app that will measure the vibration from the RV’s suspension before & after we have the work done next week & the week after. The previous project he completed for us has worked well. It is a box that keeps track of the temperature inside the RV and notifies us by text if it goes above or below a specific setpoint. This is so we know if the heat or A/C in the RV isn’t working properly when we’re not there with the cats. We’ve been notified when the RV was not maintaining heat when the heater wasn’t working & also when it got too warm inside, just the other day. It’s for the safety of the cats.
It rained a little lightly during the day & it was obvious bigger storms were coming. The high today was 76 degrees, very windy, and the heavier rain started about the time it was getting dark. It rained hard all night with lightning and very loud thunder, occasional large cracking noises as big tree branches came down. Rob slept through it, but it kept me awake a lot. The girls hated it. Surprisingly, we did not lose electricity.
