Day 119 – Foggy this morning, 56 degrees. We’d thought about spending the day in Santa Barbara; there’s botanical gardens, a zoo, bird sanctuary, whale watching, missions, etc., plus Santa Barbara is supposed to be a beautiful city. But this morning it was quiet out with a nice ocean breeze, and we just felt like staying here and relaxing. I guess we are just tired, and maybe there’s a little burnout going on. The girls are loving all the birds in the bushes & trees bordering our site.

Rob called his family to make plans for the two weeks we’ll be there. We have friends we want to see. Before we left home in September, we had fully stocked the RV with supplies, food, and  household items. We’re just about out of everything, so we’re using this time in Long Beach to fully restock. We have chores to do & general revamping before entering the second half of the trip. It will be a busy time.

The fog burned off briefly in the afternoon, and Rob followed some of the birds around the campground, taking pictures. I took a nap; we basically just relaxed today. The heavy fog rolled back in again later & we couldn’t even see the other side of the campground. The high today was 70 degrees, breezy, mostly foggy. End of Week 17, Trip #3.
