Day 90 – We slept in this morning. At 8:30 a.m. it was 38 degrees & sunny.  Looks like a gorgeous day. We did laundry this morning & made a bunch of garlic-cheese bread to freeze for future pasta or soup meals.  By noon it was sunny inside the RV & warm enough to open all the windows for some fresh air.  The girls are thrilled.

We drove to several parks in the area (they have many) and walked on trails out to the Pacific Ocean.  Since it was a weekend, the parks were pretty busy, such a beautiful day, everyone was taking advantage of the day.

We went to Noyo Harbor and stood up on the cliffs where the Noyo River meets the Ocean. The fishing boats were coming in with the day’s catch.

We went into the Harbor and found the restaurant where we’d had dinner around 34 years ago when we were here.  Late afternoon, so we were able to get a table overlooking the Harbor. Rob saw several whales passing by, a couple of them blowing & one diving. I missed seeing them. We saw seals & plenty of birds from the restaurant’s window. Boats with fisherman bringing in their catches continued to go by. The sunset was beautiful.

The restaurant is Silver’s Seafood Restaurant, Fort Bragg, located in Noyo Harbor. We had beer & wine and relaxed while watching the great scenery. We ordered Ceviche with Prawns as an appetizer & split the Caesar Salad with Dungeness Crabcakes and the Pesto Habanero Fetuccini with Bay Shrimp. Everything was excellent.  A wonderful place to relax & watch the sun set over the Harbor.

We’d thought about going to the Festival of Lights at the Mendocino Botanical Gardens, but when we drove by, they were packed with overflow parking lots. Back to the RV, a good day. It was a high of 61 degrees and sunny, no clouds.
