BLUE SKIES.
Day 43 – Beginning of Week 7. We woke up before 8 a.m., the kitties pouncing on the bed telling us it was time to get up. 58 degrees, SUNNY, beautiful blue skies. We opened windows when it reached 60 degrees, anxious to de-fog the windows so the sun could get thru. Drank our coffee & headed out into the bright new world, kitties lying in the sun on the dashboard of the RV. First we went into town (Brookings) to get the grocery shopping done.
We’d checked beforehand online to fine the local health stores for fresh produce and some good, solid breads, plus sometimes cow’s milk alternatives are difficult to find. Found health store #1, closed and for sale. The food co-op, then the farmer’s market were not where the internet said they should be. Okay, so what do we have for regular grocery stores? One, only one, Fred Meyer’s. We find it and it’s huge & the parking lot is extremely crowded. We walked in and it was like going into Best Buy at first, through electronics galore. Then it was like being in a super drug store, then a Wal-Mart, and finally you reach the grocery store. That’s one thing we miss, knowing your store so that you can just rush in with your list & know exactly where everything is, throw it in your cart, pay for it, you’re done & it’s not such a chore. Anyway, hours later we arrived back at the RV and restocked, exhausted from our “ordeal”, LOL. The kitties were still on the dashboard – oh, to be a cat in this family.
We made lunch and went outside, collapsing in our chairs in the sun, overlooking the ocean below, waves crashing onto the rocks. Tough day. Ho ho. The high was in the 70’s, hazy & still. Rob took some pictures of the birds flitting about the campsite.

Great seas a-running. Wind out of the SE–unusual 30-40 mph. All the Jones boats are snug in the Pool. More birds with attitudes please.
The seas here in Southern Oregon are running pretty strong as well! In certain places it looks like you’d be taking your life in your hands to venture in.
