Day 42 – 7 a.m., 60 degrees, humid & foggy. After coffee, Rob went for a bike ride, same path as yesterday, two young eagles in the nest with mother and he took pictures. The girls aren’t very active since we got here, lots of napping and watching birds, then back to napping. I think that’s because it’s warmer here and they don’t have to run around to keep warm. We’re feeling the humidity, too.
We drove around during the afternoon after tent time, checking out more of the area. It’s really pretty here. Each of the sections of GA that we’ve camped at has been different than the other places. This area has more farmlands, prairie, hardwood trees, and we’ve been seeing groves of pecan trees. Lots of lakes and larger bodies of water rather than the swamps. A couple of small towns around, no big cities. We came across a gated community and assumed there were mansions behind the gates. No, it was houseboats. A gated community of houseboats, that’s different. High today 84 degrees and humid with rolling clouds that looked threatening. End of Week Six.
