Day 6 – Good Day Sunshine, up at 6:45 a.m., 48 degrees and sunny. There was no wind and it was actually warm enough with the stillness and the sun shining to sit outside with our coffee! It was 60 degrees by 9 a.m., a really beautiful day with a high of 73 degrees in the afternoon. We sat around all day and relaxed.
Rode the bikes around the lake at the campground and out onto the road leading to the campground. Encountered a few mosquitos in the late afternoon when we were reading by the lake. Cannot imagine what it’s going to be like bug-wise in a couple of months when we’re in the Louisiana swamps! Mosquitos are unheard of in NY in February. Rob and I made a few phone calls today to relatives to check in while the cats enjoyed the sunshine warming the RV (we don’t let them out of the vehicle; too many stories about them running away or being attacked by wildlife). The cats are happy and settled in again, enjoying the open windows. We took some awesome pictures of the girls today, a cute one of Java looking out the window is below. We love it here and are looking forward to the rest of our stay.
