Day 96 – Sunny, breezy & 43 degrees at 7 a.m. this morning. Rob made espresso; a beautiful day. He is online, researching recliners for the RV. We think recliners would be much more comfortable for the longer trips we plan to take. The current couch is fine but its main purpose is to provide a fold-out bed & we don’t need that; we want the comfort of recliners, & the cat’s agree. I’m making lists, what I do best, LOL. We’re leaving tomorrow, going home, & there’s so much we need to do in a short period of time. Time to organize myself or everything won’t get done. Back to reality, eh?
People are out walking their dogs and chatting with each other, Emma’s made her bicycle tour checking out the campground, and JC is talking to some people who arrived yesterday. Another day in “the village”. It’s 11 a.m. and sunny, 50 degrees.
Later we drove to get sandwiches for tomorrow’s trip home. Of course we drove some side roads, and found some beautiful areas north of where we’re camping. We will miss Vermont but we’ll definitely come back again.
Came back to the RV and the girls were basking in the sun. We think they’ll be sorry to go, also. We went back to the Blue Paddle Bistro for dinner, and it was quite good again. They were crowded due to graduation parties, and we were glad we had reservations. Rob put the Vermont sticker on the US map, the last one for this trip.

This is a beautiful campground in a park-like setting on an quiet island on Lake Champlain. What’s not to love. 30 acres of well-groomed trees, shrubs, grassy hills, flowers, Lake views, peace & quiet, not too crowded, and wonderful, friendly owners/hosts. Full hook-ups, reasonable prices, 10% off a week’s stay, less than 70 sites total spread out over the grounds; they do not take credit cards but do accept personal checks. They advertise peace & quiet and you get it. Plenty to do in the area with ferries to Burlington, VT or Plattsburgh, NY close by, biking/hiking trails, boating & fishing, and Canada a short distance across the border. It was perfect & we will come back here any time our travels reach up this way again.
