NEWFOUNDLAND – A RAINY DAY IN PORT AU CHOIX.
Day 119 – A front came in last night & it became warmer and muggy. It started raining around 10 a.m. We stayed in today, except for this morning when Rob sat out by the water with his coffee. There were Common Eider Ducks, youngsters & adults, looking for something to eat for breakfast. He got some pictures.

It rained most of the day. All the other campers that were here last night left this morning. They were replaced by 2 RV’s, a truck camper, and a van. Most of the people staying here so far have been French speaking. We caught up with some things around the RV including doing lots of research on campground closing dates so we wouldn’t get caught without a place to stay. Glad we did that because some campgrounds are closing as early as September 2. Very few will still be open in October. This will effect how long we’ll stay here. We also reserved a place for us on the ferry to Labrador for August 31. Tomorrow is supposed to be very windy so we will stay here until Sunday, then move on to the viking country of the top of the Northern Peninsula.
