BOSQUE DEL APACHE #4.
Day 79 – This is what happens when we get behind with the blog. We sat down this morning to work on the pictures and text for the blog from two days ago and discovered we’d already posted today’s pictures from the Refuge – in yesterday’s blog, along with all of yesterday’s Refuge pictures. Oh well. When you get behind and don’t post daily, it gets confusing.
We had things around the RV that needed to get done, so between a few errands, some chores, and good visits with Cathie, most of the day was spent at the campground. Later, in the afternoon, we took off for the Refuge, Cathie & Pete in her truck, Rob & me in our Honda. Those pictures got posted yesterday. Who knows which ones were yesterday’s pictures & which ones were today’s pictures. At this point, it doesn’t really matter. We drove the northern portion of the Refuge. The lighting was not as good as the previous night, but we got lots of good pictures.
Cathie came over for dinner after the Refuge drive. We made Cheese Quesadillas with Guacamole. She brought her map book and her I-Pad, and we followed her journey thus far and wrote down the good places to go. Then we shared some of our favorites with her. Pete slept – all this birdwatching can be tiresome.
