HAPPY VACATION, CAROL & TED! FINALLY, EH?

Day 103 – It rained last night and was rainy & foggy this morning. Rob did not go to the Cliff Site. Cloudy & breezy throughout the day, the high was 68 degrees. In the afternoon Rob went outside to do some more work on cleaning up the dead trees. Then he took a picture of a different kind of mushroom that has come up recently.

He also has an updated picture for Anatomy of a Mushroom, playing on your screen right now. Click any picture below to see a slideshow.

The tree that Rob took down yesterday was a large one near the Harbor that had fallen over the winter, possibly during the big storm that caused the storm surge. Today he finished trimming the branches, getting them ready for chipping/shredding into wood chips for the pathways. Then he dragged the trunk up the hill for use on the Cliff Trail (on the ManCliff).

A little more rain is still forecast for this evening. No wonder it’s mushroom heaven here now. The girls are doing well. I am fine, spending the daytime planning and preparing. Very quiet and peaceful here.
