Day 22 – Another beautiful, sunny day here.  At 6:45 a.m., it was 37 degrees with full sun.  It only got up to 57 degrees but there wasn’t much wind.  Rob worked on some projects around the land, cutting overhanging branches from the trees along the driveway in preparation for the larger trucks & machinery to drive next year down to the home site.  There are also several other projects that need to be completed before work begins on the cottage.  We spent the afternoon in the screened tent.

Below are the preliminary drawings for our house plans – the plan view & the 3D views – subject to change, of course.  Also, reaching out to people to share their experiences with IKEA – what did you buy from them & are you satisfied with them, or not?  I looked online at kitchen cabinets today and was totally overwhelmed, so any thoughts are appreciated.

My brother in law used Cabinets to Go on his daughters house. He was pleased with the price and quality. I don’t have any first hand knowledge but it might be worth checking out.

I have Ikea cabinets in my rental apartment. Almost 7 years and they still look good. No repairs or chipping.
