NEWFOUNDLAND – ENGLEE IN THE SUN.
Day 40 – It rained hard last night. This morning there were lovely, billowy white clouds and some sun & 45 degrees with little wind. The forecast was for increasing clouds & maybe more rain this afternoon, so we headed out at 10 a.m. to take some pictures.
NEWFOUNDLAND – BIDE ARM & RODDICKTON.
Day 39 – It was warmer this morning when we got up, 44 degrees & very cloudy. We packed up the RV and drove it into Bide Arm about 10 minutes away from the campground. There is no dumping station or water at the Park, so Bide Arm is where we have to go to take care of these things. We dumped the tanks and filled up with fresh water from the spigot at the Ashton House (as instructed to do so by the Town Clerk when we checked in).

Day 38 – It rained all night and continued throughout the day – buckets and buckets of rain. The wind was strong, supposedly sustained up to 21 MPH, then definitely with higher gusts. It was 39 degrees when we got up and the high today was 41 degrees. Certainly much different than yesterday! Oh, and when we got up we had no power. The electricity came back on late morning. It wasn’t a problem though; we used the batteries and the generator. We didn’t leave the RV at all & the girls loved it. We caught up on some paperwork & did lots of reading. The rain stopped at around sunset and the wind died down at the same time. The fog rolled in. This was the only night so far that we didn’t hear the Loons calling from the bay below us.
NEWFOUNDLAND – A SUNNY DAY!
Day 37 – We were up earlier this morning, ready to enjoy some sun. It was 40 degrees, clear & sunny at 7 a.m. We were not disappointed. We packed our lunches & left at 10:00, happy to see the fixed tire was still holding pressure. Flowers had appeared where yesterday they were just tiny buds in the gravel.

Day 36 – We went to bed a little late (for us) last night (probably due to all our napping yesterday), and therefore got up later this morning (after the girls were leaping from the cat shelf near the ceiling onto the bed several times, they succesfully ended up getting us out of bed). It was 37 degrees and overcast again. It had rained fairly hard all night. With this weather, we certainly won’t have campers joining us at this Park.

Day 35 – The campground was very quiet last night. We feel like we are in the middle of nowhere, all by ourselves. Hmmm, I guess that’s true! At 7 a.m. it was 38 degrees & cloudy. The wind picked up, it stayed cloudy all day, and it never got above 42 degrees out. It’s supposed to rain all night tonight.
