HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KAREN OKIMOTO! WE HOPE IT WAS A SPECIAL DAY FOR YOU.
Day 107 – We were out the door at 9 a.m. Partly cloudy, 58 degrees, the rain has stopped. Into Machias this morning for the dreaded laundry day. Maybe we should build a very tiny house for a washer & dryer. Much better than driving 45 minutes to wash clothes, LOL. Rob was able to have his coffee at the cliff this morning.
In Machias, Rob stopped to get blades for the saw & brackets to replace the wrong ones given with the new wheelbarrow. We did laundry, and it really wasn’t a big deal because there was hardly anyone there & we didn’t have to wait in line for washers & dryers. So enough complaining about that.
Off to Machias Marketplace for our veggies & freshly-baked bread, then to the health store for a few other items. And then to the weekly reward, our favorite guys at the Riverside Take-out, Lobster Rolls & Crab Rolls & a Monster Seafood Platter – fish for several meals. They are closing for the season October 14. Then what will we do for a reward.

Back to the RV. On our steps was our first Amazon order, delivered to the land. UPS has found us. I guess the numbers on the post at the start of the driveway were adequate. I am excited. Rob had ordered a zoom lens for my camera & it came today (along with various other supplies). After putting up the laundry & groceries, I went outside & played with the camera. Rob replaced the brackets on the new wheelbarrow, then discovered that the wheel bearing fell apart. Mind you, I keep saying, his “new” wheelbarrow. Things are not made like they used to be made! So he called the place where he got the wheelbarrow with the wrong brackets & they will be setting aside another wheel with bearings for us to pick up next week in Machias. Sigh. The sun had come out & we spent the rest of the afternoon in the screened tent. The high today was 62 degrees.
