Day 87 – It cooled off nicely last night, 56 degrees this morning at 7 a.m. and sunny. Rob went for a bike ride. We took a short walk by neighboring campsites to see if anyone was packing up – they weren’t. Later, we moved our chairs to the hilltop and sat outside looking out over the Bay. We don’t have the tent up yet, but there was no need to have it up to hide from the bugs – there weren’t any. YAAA.
The girls are totally enjoying the sun on the dashboard. After lunch we drove around the campground. Many of the campsites were in the process of changing occupants, with a lot of them from yesterday leaving & more coming in for the weekend. We did discover another campsite that was hidden & private – another site for us to keep our eyes on so we can pounce on it once the campground goes back to the off-season first-come, first-served policy. When we came back to the RV, the girls could be seen in the front window, luxuriously sunning themselves.

We went back outside to enjoy the gorgeous day. The high today was 70 degrees, breezy & mostly sunny. Earlier we watched a Loon floating by near the shore. There are lots of birds here; we think migration has begun because we’ve seen so many birds passing through. Many Canada Geese flying over in the “V” formation. A Hummingbird was taunting the kitties this morning hovering outside the window. Yesterday afternoon a Pileated Woodpecker was pounding away on a White Birch next to the RV. We didn’t stay outside very long. The wind picked up & we were actually cold. And yesterday was hot & humid. You never know.
