Day 51 – The girls let us both sleep in & we didn’t get up until 7:45 a.m. It was cloudy, humid, & breezy, 68 degrees. Last night there was a little rain. It looks like there’s a front coming in though. Rob took a bike ride & found it to be very hilly, came back with wobbly knees. The kitties were happily napping as I was drinking my coffee. A Great Blue Heron flew over, loudly squawking.

Cooler today and more humid, the high was 74 degrees, breezy, cloudy, with occasional light rain. We made the trek down the hill to check for messages & make a phone call, hung out in the tent, and in the late afternoon we went kayaking on the Pond. We were out for a couple of hours and it was great! Beautiful, quiet, the fish were jumping and we saw two Bald Eagles, several Kingfishers, a Great Blue Heron, and got up close to three incredible Loons. We talked to a man who had taken his two young children fishing. They had caught Yellow Perch. Only a few bugs after the sun set. A good day for all.
