Day 53 – The girls were lazy this morning & let us sleep in again. It rained fairly hard all night, continuing till about noon. 60 degrees when we got up. Kinda muddy out, puddles around the RV, quiet in the campground. Several more campsites were filled in spite of the weather, which kept everyone inside. The kitties continued being lazy.
After lunch it had stopped raining and the sun came out. Gorgeous out. People flowed out of their tents & campers all at the same time. Kids hitting the playground, people walking by with their fishing rods on the way to the Pond, ATV’s roaring past on the road on their way up the hill, kayakers & canoeists heading for the Pond. The temperature rose to 70 degrees. We opened the tent up to dry it out and around 3 p.m., we went out on the Pond, too. We paddled for 2 ¼ hours; it was perfect. Two of the Loons, a Bald Eagle, several Kingfishers, water like glass, and incredible scenery.

When we got back to the RV, we went into the screened tent for a bit, then made our dinner. Although the campground was about ¾ full and it was the weekend, it’s not too noisy. The high today was 70 degrees. We relaxed as usual in the evening. This has been a really good place to camp for us.
