Day 26 – Rob was up at 7:30; I got up at 8:15. 44 degrees this morning, sunny & clear. People were out already, walking trails & riding their bikes. We found out there’s a little-known, remote state park, Floras Lake State Park, adjoining this County Park to the south, and that’s where one of the hiking trails leads. There are no roads into the State Park, just hiking; we’ll have to check that out while we here.
Rob took a walk around this morning; a bunch of geese flew over, and he saw a rabbit. No bears yet. And signs say Elk, but we haven’t seen those yet, either. We walked around the campground & down to the River and Lake. Also, took a bike ride on the roads surrounding the Park. There’s a small lake-side community at the far end of the Lake; everywhere else is farm lands or forested areas, also cranberry bogs. A very nice ride. Did some more laundry & sat outside and read our books later in the day. Some people left the campground, others arrived – a constant turnover. The high today was 63 degrees and beautifully sunny.
