Day 27 – Cold, windy, and rainy this morning, 43 degrees. Lots of RV’s clearing out early, not row after row of campers anymore. The temperature didn’t rise much during the day with a high of 48 and continued rain and wind; we just stayed indoors and caught up on things – reading, cooking, naps, etc. Leaving tomorrow for Georgia. We enjoyed South Carolina; every State has been different, each with its’ own charm.
Lake Aire RV Park, Ravenal, SC
Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, 4375 Highway 162, Hollywood, SC 29449, (843) 571-1271, www.lakeairerv.com. This is a full-on RV Park with all the amenities, large sites to accommodate big rigs, to tent camping. Close to Charleston and great access to many good nature areas with trails for hiking, boating, fishing, biking, etc. It’s a popular campground, full on the weekends and in season. I heard the woman at the check-in desk tell someone on the phone that there’s a waiting list of more than 70 to get a large site with sewer hook-ups for a week or more. Reservations are absolutely necessary. Prices are good with Passport America or other discounts. WiFi access is spotty to none at times.
