Day 12 – 6:40 a.m., sunrise over the Ocean – bigger, crashing waves today.
A few more campers came in last night. Sunny, low last night was 53 degrees. A few more campers came in during the day, also, the weekend “crowd” I suppose.

Marginally more crowded now.
We spent a lot of time reading outside, and Rob took a bike ride to the Sound side of the campground. The wind picked up in the afternoon and by evening the RV was being hit by some gusts that, although normal for here, still jostled the RV a bit. High today 75 degrees & clear, windy later.

View of the ocean from the roof of our RV.
I spoke with a woman from around here and she said this warm weather for this time of year is abnormal. It might reach the upper 60’s and not be windy and overcast maybe a day or two in January/February, but to remain this warm and lovely out for continued periods of time is extremely rare. We checked the situation at home and it appears it’s been warmer than normal there, too; but at the time we checked, there was a thunderstorm with heavy lightning and looked pretty nasty.
We haven’t been going out to eat, brought a lot of food with us, and we’re saving money for New Orleans. Still, kind of tempted to try the local seafood, crabs in particular. Maybe tomorrow……
