Day 362 – It was in the low 30’s this morning and full sun when we got up. The high today was 66 degrees. We went to the Wildlife Refuge this morning, came back to the RV for lunch, then went back to the Refuge this afternoon.

To: Little White River Recreation Area, between Tuthill & Martin, SD.
Day 361 – Since we couldn’t get reservations at a campground near our next destination, LaCreek National Wildlife Refuge, we knew we’d have to search around to find a place to stay. Therefore we were up at 6:30 a.m. and it was difficult, LOL. We needed as much time as possible between leaving, stopping to dump tanks, driving to our new destination, and finding a campsite with space for us for 3 nights, on a weekend.

Day 359 – It was in the upper 30’s this morning when we got up. We headed out a little after 8:30 a.m. It warmed up quickly and was a beautiful day with a high of 71 degrees and full sun. Perfect picture-taking weather.
Day 358 – It rained all night. We experienced our first South Dakota thunderstorm, and my was it grand! The loudest thunder, like a HUGE explosion, it was amazing. Buffalo-sized thunder! The high today was only 57 degrees and it switched around from sunny skies to skies black with oncoming storms, to rain, and back to sun again. Because there’s not much other than open spaces, there is so much SKY to see. Storms are really something here!

Day 357 – Today was an extremely easy travel day. We still had to pack up before leaving and unpack upon arrival, but the journey was quite short. The cats were happy to find they were only in the traveling room for a little less than an hour.
