Day 113 – It rained really hard last night. The tent was still standing this morning. The rain had stopped by 8 a.m. when Rob went out. Muddy & wet from dripping trees, 52 degrees, cloudy. Not too much happening around here. It did rain a little during the day and only got up to 54 degrees. A bit windy & cold for the tent today.
Rob wants to borrow Michael’s table saw to do some work on some old boards he’s going to put around the pole that has our “house” number on it. He’s also designing a sign that will go on the pole. He went over to Michael & Suzanne’s but then decided the boards were still too wet to work with. He stopped by to see Kerry & Simon for a few minutes. I felt like I was coming down with something. Just stayed home and lazed around, reading my book & napping (my favorite way to spend the day). Rob cut down a couple of trees in a different place near the tent & cleaned up that area. The harbor water is brown from the rain washing down the cliffs. Looks different than the usual blue-green water. With the tidal changes, it’ll go back to normal soon.
