Day 189 – The stormy weather returned with high winds, big waves, and lots of rain. The waves were rolling in and the wind was blowing the spray – pretty wild. We made a video, but had to cut it down in size because it wouldn’t load on the computer, so it may not look as impressive as it really was.

We departed at 12:05 p.m., late since our drive was only going to be a short distance and we couldn’t check in at the new campground until after 1:00. It was very windy and raining hard, so no pictures of the drive. We arrived at Seal Rocks RV Cove before 1 p.m. but it was raining so hard, no one bothered to stop us from parking in our site a little early. We’d never camped here before, but we made reservations in advance after scoping out the campground on one of our campground-search trips. We were in site #20 with a nice ocean view. We weren’t on the water like at the last campsite; the highway was between us and the ocean, but it was an excellent viewpoint nevertheless. We spent the afternoon in the RV. It continued raining heavily until stopping for a couple of hours at sunset. At that time, a puffy little bird – a Golden-Crowned Sparrow came out of the bushes & we got a picture. A little rabbit came out of the bushes, too, later. It was getting dark so we didn’t get a rabbit picture but watched as it ate little flowers in the grass. The high today was 51 very wet degrees.
