TRAVEL DAY

From: Turquoise Valley Golf & RV Park, Naco, AZ.

To:Sierra Vista Mobile Home Village & RV Park, Sierra Vista, AZ.

Day 100 –At 7:45 a.m. it was 37 degrees and sunny. Because check-in time at our next destination was 1 p.m. and the drive was to be short, we stuck around the RV for the morning.

37 miles (0:50), 53357-53394

We departed at 12:30 p.m. It was up to 56 degrees and had become partly cloudy. We’d made this drive only yesterday when scoping out campgrounds. The only new thing we saw was a blimp. That was weird. The mountains looked impressive.

We arrived at our campground at 1:20 p.m., checked in and were directed to site #41. Sierra Vista Mobile Home Village & RV Park was a gated community with the 2 RV camping areas separate from the Mobile Home Village. We had full hook-ups. As we were jockeying the RV and tow car into the site, the man from the RV next to us came out to talk to Rob. The main topic of conversation was that he and his wife were in the process of isolating after getting positive COVID tests. Oh goody.

This campground is fine, certainly not out in the wilds or anything like that, but other than traffic noise from the nearby highway, it’s okay. Tomorrow we have errands to run so we won’t be doing any sightseeing. The high today was 57 degrees and by evening it was all clouds.
