Home Sweet Home!
A brief recap of our trip, then we sign off until Trip #2.
We left home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 and returned on Sunday, May 21, 2017. We were gone almost 14 weeks. We put 5,091 miles on our RV. We drove through parts of 20 States. We camped at 25 different campgrounds. We took approximately 5,500 pictures with the camera plus an unknown amount of pictures with the phone (much less with the phone). We encountered temperatures ranging from lows in the teens to highs in the 90’s. Weather conditions varied from tornadoes, snow, sleet, hail, torrential downpours of rain, high & low humidity, wind gusts up to 40 MPH while driving the RV, fog, haze, air quality alerts, flooding, and a fat old sun for days on end, a rainbow, and incredible clouds. And there was weather that we felt was absolutely perfect.
As you could tell, we had a great time! And we cannot wait until the next trip visiting new places.
Fast forward to the present (Saturday, June 17, 2017) – we left home yesterday morning, beginning Trip #2. This morning we’re in Bernardston, MA, our first stop on the way to our yearly trip to Maine. Previously we’d never camped at our land for longer than 2 weeks; this time we can stay longer. We were home for 3-1/2 weeks between trips; it was an extremely busy time but now we can relax.
We’ll be taking notes (and pictures) on this trip but not blogging. We’ll be back to posting with the story of Trip #3 in September if all goes as planned. Meanwhile, feel free to call or e-mail.
