MUSHROOMS, FOG, AND CRABMEAT.

Day 92 – Cool and foggy again today, and it rained some last night. We went to Pembroke today to Betty’s Crabmeat for more fresh crab. Oddly, it was 10 degrees warmer there and sunny. It seems we’ve got our own little climate here at the land. Back to crab, when Betty handed me the containers, she said they had just finished picking this crab & it was still warm before sitting in the refrigerator. Talk about fresh!

We stopped at a potential boat launch off Route 1 on the way to Pembroke. It was high tide and Cobscook Bay looked beautiful.

Apologies, we ran out of “unlimited high-speed data” for the month, therefore this, and other posts, may be late.

Rob did see lots of activity at his ManCliff this morning but the birds did a great job of evading the camera. He saw a Great Blue Heron, a Cormorant, a Kingfisher, a Woodpecker and we heard a Bald Eagle later in the day. We spent time in the screened tent before and after lunch. The dense fog kept rolling in and out of the Harbor; it was pretty.

Later in the day Dana stopped by to check out the mushrooms growing on the property. She took some Chanterelles home with her. Always nice to see you, Dana! We picked up pizza from Lubec for dinner. YUMMY!
