Day 18 – 6:30 a.m., 52 degrees with light clouds. We tweaked a few more things with the house plan this morning. It’s becoming a morning ritual. We went into town to get some veggies. Lubec was virtually empty. Windy, 59 degrees.
This afternoon, another positive review for Chris Goodwin was received, this one unsolicited – a neighbor asked a friend who has lived in the area for some time & works in real estate if she knew anything about Goodwin Carpentry – the response was that he is really, really good. Thank you, Dana! That did it; what were we waiting for? We sent Chris a copy of our latest plan and told him that we’d love to work with him if he was willing, and said we were ready to move on to the next step, a detailed budget estimate.
Dinner was baked halibut in a basil pesto aioli over green peas and brown rice. Yummy. We feel good that a decision has been made by us. The ball is in Chris’ court.
Below is the latest in warm neckware. Stock up soon before winter.
