Day 15 – 7 a.m., sunny and 42 degrees. Reeking with garlic from last night’s pizza, we met with Karl Rossi this morning. Poor guy. He was really good, so now we have two favorites that are hands-down the standouts. It will be really tough to decide which to use. We’ve now talked to six of the eight contractors we contacted when we got here. If the two remaining contractors did get back to us, we can’t imagine they’d be as impressive as Karl Rossi and Chris Goodwin were. Hopefully, we’re finished with the interviewing.
Also, this morning when Rob logged onto the computer, there was a preliminary rough estimate from Chris Goodwin. First, he got back to us very quickly since he was one of the latter contractor’s interviewed, and we were happy to see his estimate was in the ballpark of what we could pay. Karl Rossi gave us a preliminary estimate on the spot today, and he, too was in the ballpark. We were very happy to finally know that, yes, we CAN do this. Just may have to celebrate with some wine and beer tonight. Grin.
The girl’s are doing well. They obviously like it here and remembered it from other trips. They are lazy. This is how they spend their days.
We spent the afternoon making more changes to our home plan – this must be version 200. Then Rob won all three games of Yahtzee which we played while enjoying happy hour. We finished the garlicky leftover pizza. The cats don’t want anything to do with us & have asked that we brush our teeth.

Great news! Happy you’re getting closer to realizing your dream. Look forward tho seeing pictures as the project gets underway:)
