Day 14 – We were cold this morning when we woke up, and surprised to see that it was 37 degrees outside.  We hadn’t left the heat on when we went to bed; pretty cold inside! 6:30 a.m., clear & sunny.  Rob saw a seal in the harbor this morning just below where he was sitting at cliff’s edge.  Both the seal & the temperature were a surprised.

Went into Lubec to the town’s recycling building and to the post office.  It was crowded in town; that was a surprise also.  Back at our land, we met with Tim Hanning of Down East Home Improvements out of Addison.  He spent a good amount of time here, then left with a promise to get us an estimate in a week.

After lunch we sat in the screened tent reading, took a nap, and then went to town to pick up pizza at Morano’s Pizza for dinner.  Like last year when we were here, the pizza was excellent.

Later on, Karl Rossi of West Branch Builders called as he’d promised earlier in the week.  He can make it out here tomorrow morning.  He’s coming from Millbridge, a slightly bigger distance than Tim Hanning had to make today.  They both might charge extra to travel here during the construction, if they were chosen as general contractor.  Karl came with excellent reviews.  Let’s see what we think of him in person tomorrow.
