The Day After……
Day 76 – Do you remember when you were a child and the day after Christmas was always a letdown? Now as adults, there’s this buildup, this crazy running around trying to get everything done, then boom – it’s over. Well, in a different way for us, today is a letdown compared to yesterday’s wonderful wildlife watching. The wind is back, the dust is flying, and we’re inside catching up on things, preparing to leave here early tomorrow to get over the pass going west from Roswell. The wind will be worse tomorrow afternoon.
We paid for another night here (tonight) and called the RV Park in San Antonio, NM to secure a campsite for tomorrow with an early arrival. It was a warm 81 degrees with fairly high winds during the day, decreasing into the evening. We called the relatives to touch base for Christmas (since we were gone all day yesterday), prepped some food, caught up on the blog, etc. And that’s about all there is to report on today.
Plus, Ernie – it was great talking with you; sending our love to you both!
