LAST DAY IN LOUISVILLE.
Day 36 – We’re leaving tomorrow, so we got some things done at the RV in the morning, then left for Louisville. It was a gorgeous, warm day. Yes, WARM. It felt so good to have the sun beaming down, 65 degrees, and no wind. When we got to Pam’s house, she and the dogs were sunbathing in the back yard. Everyone was happy and relaxed.
First we went to Starbuck’s for a small lunch (in anticipation of another pig-out at El Mundo tonight complete with Margaritas). Then we went to Whole Foods to do some grocery shopping – we don’t have a Whole Foods near us in NY, so going there is always great. One store shopping – YAAAA! We also went to a wonderful health food store where Pam needed to get some things. It was similar to the good health stores we have in our neighborhood at home. Next was Feeder’s Supply, a really great alternative to Pet Smart and Petco – with some amazingly healthy choices for animals, which is how Pam feeds her dogs. We found a good supply of the kitty litter we use – sometimes this particular brand & type is hard for us to find. Heading back to Pam’s house, we spent some time with the pups; the weather was just so nice.
Last, but not least, we went to El Mundo, and sat outside, for Margaritas and mexican food. After dinner we went back to Pam’s briefly, picked up our groceries, and said good-bye to her and the granddoggies. Sad. Back at the RV we struggled to fit the Beyond Burger patties in our small freezer, and all the fresh produce in the fridge, then sat down with our babies. Tomorrow we move on to the next stage of our adventure. We don’t really need to be anywhere in particular until February in southern CA, so we’ll be meandering across the country. Look out National Wildlife Refuges, here we come!
