FOGGY DAY & A DRIVE.
Day 83 – It was foggy & humid this morning with no breeze. Rob got a picture of an adult Bald Eagle in a tree this morning, which was quite a feat since it was so foggy. More mushrooms are coming up all over the place. We put off kayaking in the Harbor because of the fog, not that it would be dangerous, but it’s prettier with some sun.

Rob worked some on various projects this morning, then after lunch we went for a drive to look at some possible kayak launching sites. It was still foggy out. We were again surprised at the amount of people here, out and about. Even though it was summer, it wasn’t overly crowded here in the past.
We had a map we’d picked up at a kiosk that showed several places where people could put in to paddle. We checked out all that were on the map. None were worth getting excited about except for one of them, a launch site that wasn’t too far from the parking lot which offered an excellent place to put in a kayak on Cobscook Bay. All the other sites we looked at were too far from the parking lot and/or the path was too rough for someone carrying a kayak any distance. We did, however, get a picture of a Merlin. This is the type of falcon we tried to get pictures of when we were camping at Pring Point State Park in NY.

When we got back to the RV we sat out in the screened tent for a little while before having dinner. Finally around 7 p.m. we could see the blueness of the sky again; the fog was gone.
I love the foggy bald eagle!!!!
