THE TAIL END OF A HEAT WAVE.

Day 20 – From what we can tell, a lot of the East has been in a heat wave. We’re glad we are here in the North, since we just got the tail end of it. Storms are supposedly bringing a front in to give relief to all. We reached 85 humid degrees today and didn’t move around much. We know plenty of people like hot weather, but we don’t. We sat in the screened tent and prayed for a hefty breeze. It was supposed to break with thunderstorms arriving around 3 p.m., but it’s now almost dark and NO storms yet. We just broke down after cat’s pitiful looks & turned on the A/C. Ah, relief!

Tomorrow we are leaving our land for the beginnings of a New England trip. We’d postponed leaving a couple of days to miss the heat wave at other locations. It certainly helps being here along the coast. Below you’ll see a couple of the girls, SO HOT!
