MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AND IT’S COLD! WEIRD.
Day 11 –Okay, so it didn’t get out of the 40’s today either. Memorial Day picnics at the beach? I don’t think so! 46 degrees at 6:45 am this morning; 46 degrees at 6:45 pm tonight. That’s fine with us as we had no big holiday plans anyway, but we can’t help but feel bad for those who were looking forward to the big beach celebration!
Rob saw a pair of Osprey at the cliff this morning, and a squirrel eating breakfast. Gracie and Java were lying on top of each other in the RV. Not much more happening, although we did hear from a friend who has a place on the road who said there ARE people here, they are just being quiet. We were surprised to hear how many people were here on the road, and how much activity was going on, i.e., road work and work at individual properties. That’s okay; we like the peace and quiet! But sorry to miss you, Diane.

After lunch we went into Lubec & got a few grocery items. The bugs haven’t been a problem yet, we assume due to the low temperatures, but we got some bug spray just in case! We played a few rounds of Yahtzee in the late afternoon, then had left over pizza from last night. It rained most of the day and is supposed to continue raining throughout the night and most of tomorrow.
