Day 42 – Very windy this morning but 20 degrees warmer than yesterday morning. Changeable weather. We’re starting early with the getting-ready-to-leave chores. Things will need to be winterized, packed up & put away, and it’s forecast to rain for a couple of days beginning Tuesday, so we’ll need to be finished early to beat the rain. We plan to depart Wednesday morning. We think the girls will be glad to get home. Lately they have been a bit cranky & at times, bratty little monsters. Room to run around will do them some good. But they won’t like the long drive, so we’ll be stopping several places along the way, taking a little time to get home. It’s easier on all of us that way.
It actually got up to 62 degrees today but it was so windy, the trees were really swaying. A little disconcerting. This afternoon when Gracie picked up a toy, brought it to the middle of the floor and dropped it at Rob’s feet, then sat there meowing loudly, it was quite clear what needed to be done. Rob played Toss The Toy Into The Air, and they all got into the act (except for Java who found it was just too difficult to lug her bulk off the dashboard). Yep, they will be happy to get home to run around. Thunderstorms expected toonight; then the wind will finally die down.
