ABOUT SIERRA VISTA MOBILE HOME VILLAGE & RV PARK: We stayed in this private park to get a mail delivery and run some errands. Sierra Vista is a city of more than 40,000 people. We tried to book a place away from a big city but everything was already fully occupied. We had never camped in this area of Arizona before.
The campground was more of an upscale Mobile Home Park than a RV campground. Both were part of a gated community off a busy street just outside of the very busy section of Sierra Vista. There were 236 mobile homes ranging from small narrow buildings to larger, probably 3-bedroom homes. There were 55 RV sites. The “Village” offered many amenities for RVrs: free WiFi, free cable TV with 42 channels, 30 and 50 amp electrical connections, sewer hook-ups, fresh water hook-ups, two swimming pools and a spa, laundry room, lending library, storage shed and table, security gates, planning activities, pool room, club house, and nine-hole miniature golf, a rec center, a park office and mail boxes for full-time residents.
There were only two sites available for the two-day timeframe we wanted. We had site #41. The cost was $73.00 for two nights. We would stay here again if we needed a quick stopover overnight stay. They are open all year. Check-in time was after 1 p.m. Check-out time was before 12 noon.
