ABOUT SEAL ROCKS RV COVE: We had never stayed at this campground before, but we did visit it recently when scouting out parks. The Seal Rocks RV Cove campground was located off Highway 101 in Seal Rock, Oregon. We had site #20 with an excellent view of the Ocean crashing on the rocks below. We saw Bald Eagles several times from inside the RV as they flew over the beach. Highway 101 was between the campground and the Ocean, but the traffic wasn’t too noticeable because of the sound of the Ocean. The campsites were located on a hill that was higher than the road, so the road traffic didn’t interfere with the view of the ocean.
This campground was quiet and not full. It would doubtfully be that way during the summer. It was a private campground, managed by volunteer campground hosts, and was good as far as cleanliness and maintenance – not excellent but plenty good enough. There was an area for tent camping but that section was closed when we were here. Also, the restrooms & showers for use by the campground were also closed. No problem for us since we are self-contained. We would stay here again.
There were 35 RV campsites with full-hooks and 11 tent camping sites. Not as fancy as some private resorts, there was no playground for kids (but it was across the street from the ocean & beach so who needs a playground), no organized games, no hiking trails, just more rustic, which was fine with us. Most campsites were separated from their neighbors by bushes and hedges. The RV pads & campground road were gravel. We had site #20 with a great view. Sites #19 & #18 had great views, also. Check-in was after 1 p.m. Check-out was before 11:30 a.m. We stayed 4 nights and paid $299.15.

FOR CAMPGROUNDS WE DID NOT STAY AT (all on lovely Siletz River):
These three campgrounds were discovered on one of our back road drives. If we come back to this area, we should investigate more and should definitely stay at one of them. A little south of Lincoln City, Oregon.
Coyote Rock RV Resort and Marina, this one had very nice campsites right on the Siletz River. (1st choice of these three campgrounds)
Chinook Bend RV Resort, this one had camping far off the road and across the Siletz River and looked good from a distance, maybe not directly on the water, but private.
Sunset Landing RV Park, we did not get a good look at this one, could be a bit junky.
