ABOUT PORT ALICE OCEANFRONT RV PARK: Port Alice was a quiet and very small town with limited amenities in town. The Port Alice Oceanfront RV Park was the only game in town and it was different – more like camping in someone’s back yard – and only had 8 operational vehicle camping sites – all with full hook-ups. There was space in the “yard” for tent camping without hook-ups. There were remodeled restrooms and showers. It had a nice view of the Neroutsos Inlet. At the time of our visit, there was one coffee place and one pizza place, 1 gas station, 1 marina, 1 minimal grocery store, etc. It was a homey place, popular with fishermen.
We had site #8 which was just fine. Because it was mostly older people camping there and few children and dogs, it was quiet. Check-in was 1 p.m. Check-out was 11 a.m. The price was $50 per night (Canadian currency). We stayed 5 nights. We had full hook-ups. They are only open the months of July and August.
We would stay here again if nothing was available at the first-come, first-served Marble River Provincial Park (no hook-ups – off highway 30 on the way to Port Alice – scenic and on Marble River) or Link River Regional Park (on Alice Lake on the way to Port Alice – no hook-ups, some sites right on the Lake, takes reservations).
