ABOUT KLEANZA CREEK PROVINCIAL PARK: We were not given any campground maps nor any brochures about the Park. We also do not have an internet connection, so I can only obtain information about the Park from what we’ve seen when camping here and from the notes we took when we made the reservation.
Kleanza Creek Provincial Park is 10 to 20 minutes beyond the city of Terrace, British Columbia Canada off of Highway 16 (the Yellowhead Highway). The area is extremely beautiful with rivers and mountains and lots of trees. All sites are somewhat private. There are restrooms, ample parking in the day use area, plenty of picnic sites, there are beaches, and the playground area is the stream (Kleanza Creek) which pools with places for swimming and wading.
We had site #1 and stayed 3 nights. We had no hook-ups. Water is available through a hand pump; you cannot fill an RV that way. Ten of the campsites (#1-10) were on the water. Sites #11 through 34 are on the opposite side of the campground road and do not have water views. All campsites are heavily wooded. Sites #1 thru 4 were more private with #1 and 2 being the best. Sites 5 thru 10, as they get closer to the day use area, have more potential to be the noisiest. Other campsites not on the water that would work for us were: #11, 14, 18, and 22 thru 27. Check-in time was 1 p.m. Check-out time was 11 a.m. Generator hours were 9 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. We paid $78.90 (Canadian currency). We would stay here again.
