We drove thru this campground in 2019 and thought the sites were too small. We drove thru again on June 13, 2023. Although most of the campsites are somewhat small, we could fit into many of them. There is a section, which was not at all occupied when we drove thru, that has unserviced campsites (#4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 21 are sites we could fit in; the best of this group would be #12, 13, 14, 15, and 16). In the section with some hook-ups #28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 43, 45, 48, 49, 50, and 52 were big enough for us, with the best serviced sites being #29, 30, 32, 33, and 45. Some of the campsites listed above are overlooking the water. Most have trees around them.
This was a nice little campground, particularly before the crowds arrive. Dildo Run has a total of 55 campsites. In 2023 the camping season was May 29–Sept. 14. The campground is located just off Route 340; the mailing address lists the campground to be in Virgin Arm. We stopped to use the restroom in the comfort station, and it was the cleanest restroom I’ve ever used in a Provincial Park/State Park. Amenities include a comfort station, playground, electric and water hook-ups in serviced campsites, a dump station, a beach, drinking water, firepit/BBQ, unserviced campsites, and laundry.
