ABOUT BEAVERVIEW RV PARK & CAMPGROUND: We were happy when we registered at this campground and were handed campground information, a campground map, even a receipt for our payment. This is a private campground. For some reason, since Covid, State Parks in the U.S. and Provincial Parks in Canada stopped handing out information when you register.
This was a nice campground with campsites spread out over many acres of level, grassy land. The campground was surrounded by woods on two sides. The front was Highway 16 separated by trees from the campground. The back was a row of trees running along the Fraser River. There were 13 RV campsites along the River, 11 tent sites along the south side, 6 tent sites along the north side, 5 large pull-through RV campsites and 2 tent sites in a grassy field, and 13 pull-through slightly smaller RV campsites along the campground road. We were assigned site #37, one of the larger pull-through sites in the grassy field. Since campsites are assigned, we did not scope out favorites.
The RV campsites all had electric and water hook-ups. There was a dump station which also offered drinking water. The tent campsites had no hook-ups. Beaverview RV Park & Campground offered the following amenities: high speed Wi-Fi, hot showers, a laundry room with two washers & two dryers, a dishwashing sink, an office & campground store, the dump station, ice, fire wood, restrooms, a pay phone, garbage & recycling bins, fire pits & picnic table at each campsite, and a communal BBQ.
Check-in time was not posted. Check-out time was 11 a.m. Quiet time was 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Generators were not permitted (they already had electricity at the sites). We paid $86.10 for two nights (Canadian currency).
Information about the Mount Robson area for next time:
Mount Robson Provincial Park, Highway 16 East between McBride and the Alberta border has two campgrounds which we drove through on August 31, 2022. $28 per night.
Mount Robson River Campground and Mount Robson Meadow Campground were both located near the visitor’s center below Mount Robson. The River Campground was about half the size of the Meadow Campground. River had some electric hook-up campsites that all appeared to be full. The other campsites were not very full. Some sites were near the highway. The Fraser River ran by the campground. Meadow was a large campground that was not full. We drove the outer loop. The sites were well-shaded with great trees, level, and plenty large for us. We liked this campground and would definitely stay here in the outer loop. (The campground was shaped in a large spiral circle – the inner loops probably were not private.) I don’t think there were any hook-ups. This would be a great place to stay if we wanted to check out this beautiful area in more detail. NOTE: A dump station (with water???) was supposed to be located near the visitor’s center but when we were there, that road was closed due to construction.
