TUESDAY MORNING IN THE SWAMP.
Day 60 – At 7:30 this morning it was 60 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. It rained most of last night with lightning & thunder. Alot of the campsites are flooded, but luckily there’s not many people here. We scurried about this morning getting ready for the 10 a.m. swamp boat tour.
We’d thought that mid-week would be a good time to go out, but the boat was full. We’d been on this trip in 2017 and it was a great introduction to the Swamp. This time, because the water was much higher & the temperature was cooler today, there were less Alligators and less of the various birds. But it was still lovely & we got a good overview as to where we should go tomorrow when we go out by ourselves.

We drove to the Sill after the boat tour; we hadn’t been there earlier in the day yet, so we wanted to see if there was any activity. It was a gorgeous day, the high was 73 degrees, sunny & breezy. We were the only ones there. Some Alligators were out & the Ibis were putting on a show.

We had a late lunch in the RV, then went out to the screened tent & spent the afternoon there. Very quiet in the campground, lots of birds flitting about. A nice, relaxing day.
