It’s been a while since we last posted because we went home for a few weeks between July 26 and August 11. We have now completed as much of the cottage exterior as we can and will be starting inside construction. Finally!!

We got our minisplit heat/air conditioner unit delivered at the end of July. It’s a DIY unit from Mr Cool that we can install ourselves. We decided to make a roof shelter to protect the outside unit from the weather. Rob designed it and we asked Habitat Post and Beam if we could buy some #1 grade Douglas Fir to build it so that it will match the other timbers in the cottage. We figured that we’d just get a few 4×4 beams and cut and assemble them ourselves. To our surprise, Huckle not only cut them and assembled them, but he did it complementary! Thank you Huckle!!

We’ve seen a bit more wildlife around the cottage as the Summer progresses.
Great windows across the back of the house!
It is cute. Do you see the water from those beautiful windows, or do you still hike down to your viewing spot?
Wow Rob awsome job, you have got something to be proud of… and when your done I know of an outfit that will hire you..
Nice deck and stair work to finish off the exterior! Buffalo 🦬 in Maine? Now we’ve seen everything!
