Happy Time RV Park, Dunnigan, CA

ABOUT HAPPY TIME RV PARK: We had never stayed in this area before. This was just a one-night stopover. Happy Time RV Park was a private campground that had been around for awhile. It was located just off Interstate 5 above Sacramento and just below Dunnigan, California.

They offered a total of 130 campsites, 68 of them had full hook-ups, there was a dump station and water is available if you don’t have the hook-ups. The campground was nothing special to look at from the outside. Almost all campsites were already occupied by full-timers and seasonal campers. The campground, once you were in a site and could look around to evaluate, was clean and neat. There was not the normal accumulation of junk and tacky paraphenalia that you normally find in a mostly-full time campground. NOTE: Do not take GPS’s directions when coming here and get off I-5 early onto rough-road 99W highway; there is an exit/entrance right at the campground.

Next to the campground, there are two gas stations, a Taco Bell, a Denny’s, and a Wendy’s. Even though the campground is located in such a busy location, it is surprisingly quiet. The campground is open all year. $40 per night for full hook-ups with the 10% Good Sam Club discount. We would stay here again for a one-night stopover. Very convenient.
