TGIF? No, TGIP – Thank God It’s Pizza.
Day 79 – It rained hard all night, and stopped around 8 a.m. this morning. It’s looking like a rain forest around here. Everything is dripping with moisture. We both worked on some projects around the RV, Rob getting the holding tank monitoring system installed, and I was starting some research for our next trip. The status of Rob’s current project: now we watch the tank levels to check how accurate the system is, adjusting each monitor’s location until we have the best performance.
When the sun came out & the temperatures went up to near 70 degrees, we went out to the screened tent, first draining the rain water off the tarp flooring. (Originally, the new tent came without flooring. We had purchased camping mats to put on the ground – we bought two but they still didn’t completely cover the ground. We liked them though because they dried quickly and did not pool water when it rained like the tarp-type of flooring that was attached to our last tent. Me, being bug-phobic, wanted a flooring that was attached. We ordered a flooring that attaches to the bottom or the tent, made by the same company that makes the tent.) Well, now we have the water puddles in the tent to deal with. Re-evaluating the situation now, do we buy more camping mats so that the ground will be fully covered, or do we try something else, or do we keep bailing out the tent when it rains? Such problems we have, LOL.
Once it was dry, it was very nice in the tent. We read our books until it was time to go pick up our pizza – YAAA! As we were just returning from the tent to the RV, our neighbor Michael, who was walking Bella, their gorgeous dog, stopped by to visit. Sorry we couldn’t visit longer, Michael, but it was PIZZA, ya know! Good to see you & Bella!
It was very busy in town, again. It’s a good thing Morano’s Pizza is there since Frank’s Dockside is no longer serving, and other restaurants have reduced their menu choices or they’re just minimally good. But places come & go here; there are always changes from year to year. With COVID surging again, who knows what will happen. And the pizza is always great at Morano’s! Meanwhile, we just eat at the RV more.
