Champlain Adult Campground, Grand Isle, VT

ABOUT CHAMPLAIN ADULT CAMPGROUND: This is a privately-owned campground in Vermont on Grand Isle, one of the Champlain Islands. It is located right on the western shore of Lake Champlain, overlooking Plattsburgh, NY in the distance with the mountains of the Adirondacks behind. On 26 manicured acres of green grass & beautiful trees with 70 large campsites throughout, there are sites for tents, small to quite large RV’s and trailers, and there are a few lean-to’s plus several rental cottages. It is like camping in a botanical garden. Almost all sites come with full hook-ups (water, electric, and sewer). With 1,600 feet of waterfront, there are sites with water views. There is a rocky shoreline with a small swimming platform extending out into the water and a landing where people bring their chairs & sit at the Lake. There are facilities with a washer and dryer, showers, and restrooms. Firewood is available. Most of the people who were here when we were here brought kayaks and/or bicycles with them. This is a wonderful biking location & you can ride all over the Islands or ride to the mainland via a causeway and bike ferry. Pets are welcome. NOTE: This is an adult campground. Children are not allowed. There is no playground. The owners want it to be a peaceful & quiet experience. And it is.

$70/night.
