Day 16 – It was cloudy & 62 degrees this morning at 6:45. We’ve spent a lot of time thinking about & discussing Karl & Chris, our top choices for general contractor. This morning we decided we were leaning slightly towards Chris Goodwin. We’ll be asking both of them for references later today.
Rob got a CAD program & has been putting our house plan into it. It’s fun seeing what it would look like from both the inside and the outside. Later this morning we got an e-mail from Karl Rossi saying that even though he really wanted to work on this project, the distance to drive daily was too large for members of his crew who live in Bangor. I guess we don’t need to ask him for references. It’s funny because one of the main reasons we were leaning towards Chris was that he was fairly close by, and also his timeframe for getting the job completed was sooner than Karl’s.
We spent most of the afternoon in the screened tent. The weather today was really nice, over 70 degrees, breezy & sunny.
