Now we have a garage too!

On Monday Sept. 22, Rob and Wayne worked together to start adding the eave rafter overhangs. These had to be put in place before the roof insulation and sheathing could be installed.

On Tuesday Sept. 23, the whole framing crew worked on installing the roof insulation and sheathing. It took a little time to get the procedure in place, but once we got going it moved pretty fast.

On Wednesday and Thursday Sept. 24-25, the whole crew continued with the east roof insulation and sheathing. They also sheathed the east wall and put up house wrap. We almost finished by the end of the day.

On Friday Sept. 26, The whole crew plus Brandon started working on framing the garage. The east roof sheathing was completed along with the ice & water flashing at the roof edges.

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday Sept. 27-29, Rob worked hard to design the details of the garage to house transitions, including the reverse gable and how the house fascia and soffits meet the garage fascia and soffits.
On Tuesday Sept. 30, the whole crew worked on implementing the design details Rob had just finished. The fascia between the house and garage was installed and the garage roof trusses were raised.
