LATE FALL IN ULSTER COUNTY AND VICINITY

The blog has been offline for a few weeks as we moved it to a new hosting provider. We were running out of space for all the pictures! We are now back online and can finally publish this post from almost 2 weeks ago. Let us know if you see any strange issues while viewing the blog. Thanks!

We took another sight seeing drive this weekend. This time we drove through some areas of Ulster County that we hadn’t driven through in a long time. Around Thanksgiving it rained at our house and apparently snowed a bit in the Catskills.

We drove up into the Catskills and found, that at the higher elevations, there was still snow covering the ground and icicles hanging from the rocks! Winter is coming! It was a beautiful sunny day, but it never got out of the ‘30s. The area around Slide Mountain in Northwestern Ulster county was beautiful. There were a lot of very old stone houses and fields with horses. You could really feel the history.

We’re hoping for some nice snow for Christmas!

    So glad to see this!!!
Some of us from UCART were at Taco Tuesday this week for a Holiday gathering.
( I can’t go there without thinking of you two and Cathie !!! )
Beth and Ann and Liz have been asking about you, Vicki. I relay the latest news to them from the blog that I religiously follow.
    Wishing the very Best!
And let me know when you are ready to meet for a Margarita!
    Love to you both, Suze
